How do I use my Digital Video Recorder (DVR)?
You can find out everything about your Explorer 8642 High Definition DVR by downloading the userguide.
Recording A Program with my DVR
To record a TV program you're currently watching:
If you've been tuned to a program since it began, pushing the REC button will allow you to save the entire show (providing the portion of the program already viewed is one hour or less in duration). This great feature is possible because your Digital PVR Box automatically records whatever show you aretuned to so that you can pause Live TV.
Recording a single episode of a TV program/movie using the IPG
To record all episodes of a TV program from the IPG:
My DVR has no more room left to record.
The hard drive on your PVR can hold only so many programs. Once your storage is exhausted, you will receive an error message informing you that there is not enough space to record the requested program both when you attempt to record a program manually, and when a program is scheduled to be recorded.
When this happens, you will have to erase some of the programs you currently have recorded.
