All channels appear as a black screen.

  • Ensure that all equipment is turned on. If it is on and the screen is still black, try tuning to channel 03 on your Digital Box (ensure that your TV/VCR are tuned to the correct input setting).
  • Your Television and/or Digital Box may be plugged into an outlet that is controlled by a wall switch. Try removing the power plug and connecting it to an electrical outlet that is not controlled by a wall switch.
  • If your home entertainment centre includes a VCR, Stereo Receiver, DVD or other device, there may be a problem with your cable connections. Ensure that all the cables are connected properly by referring to the instructions and diagram in the hookup section that most closely resembles your home entertainment set-up.
  • Your television or VCR may be tuned to the incorrect output channel or may be using the incorrect input selection.
  • If you are using standard coaxial cable to connect your Digital Box to your TV/ VCR, ensure that your TV and/or VCR are tuned to the correct output channel (usually channel 03 or 04).
  • If you are using RCA cables or S-Video cables to connect your Digital Box to your TV/ VCR ensure that you have selected the correct input setting on your TV or VCR. Depending on the make and model of your TV/ VCR, this input may be called Line 1, Video 1, or Aux 1. Try cycling through all the possible input selections.
  • If none of the solutions above solved the problem, try disconnecting the coaxial cable from your Digital Box and connecting it directly to your television. Once you've done that, change the channels on your TV. If a picture appears, disconnect the cable from your television and reconnect it to your Digital Box.

How do I enable or change my PIN codes?

With both Pay Per View (PPV) and Parental Control (Channel Blocking), there are PIN (Personal Identification Numbers) needed to use these services. The PPV PIN code default is “0000.” To ensure no one but yourself is able to access this feature, we recommend that you immediately change this number. To utilize the Parental Control Function you must enable the Parental Control PIN. For both PIN numbers, it is recommended that you select either one number for both or two numbers that you can easily remember.

How To Enable Your Parental Control PIN:

  1. Press the SETTINGS button twice, or, if you are in the IPG or in Quick Settings, press it once. Scroll through the list of settings until Block: PIN is highlighted.
  2. Press SELECT or the RIGHT browser button.
  3. Press SELECT to enable the Blocking PIN.
  4. Follow the prompts to enter your PIN code.
